Refund Policy
Last Updated: November 4, 2025 | Version 1.0
Summary: Neural Compress Pro offers a 14-day free trial with 200 images so you can fully evaluate the service before paying. Due to the digital nature of our product, we generally do not offer refunds for paid subscriptions. However, we handle exceptions on a case-by-case basis for technical issues, billing errors, and extenuating circumstances.
1. Free Trial Policy
1.1 Trial Terms
We offer a generous 14-day free trial to all new users:
- Duration: 14 calendar days from account creation
- Image Limit: 200 images included
- Features: Full access to all Neural Compress Pro features
- Payment: No credit card required for trial
- Eligibility: One trial per user (based on email address)
Try Before You Buy: The free trial is designed to give you ample time to evaluate whether Neural Compress Pro meets your needs. We encourage all users to fully test the service during the trial period before subscribing.
1.2 After Trial Expiration
When your trial expires:
- You will not be automatically charged
- You must manually subscribe to continue using the service
- Your trial data is retained for 30 days (you can pick up where you left off)
2. No Refund Policy
2.1 General Policy
Important: Due to the immediate access and digital nature of Neural Compress Pro, all sales are final. We do not provide refunds for:
- Partial billing periods (monthly or annual)
- Unused images in your quota
- Change of mind after purchase
- Lack of use during a billing period
- Dissatisfaction with compression quality (trial available to test)
2.2 Why No Refunds?
This policy exists because:
- Free trial available: You have 14 days to evaluate before paying
- Digital product: You receive immediate access upon payment
- Usage-based: Once you compress images, the service has been consumed
- Industry standard: Most SaaS products do not offer refunds for digital services
2.3 Cancellation vs. Refund
You can cancel at any time, but cancellation is different from a refund:
| Cancellation |
Refund |
| Stops future charges |
Returns past payment |
| Access continues until period ends |
Immediate loss of access |
| Always allowed |
Only in exceptional cases |
Example:
You subscribe on November 1st for $49/month (Starter).
You cancel on November 15th.
Result: You keep access until December 1st (no refund for Nov 1-15).
You will not be charged on December 1st.
3. Refund Exceptions
3.1 When We May Issue Refunds
We will consider refund requests in the following situations:
Technical Issues
- The service was unavailable for more than 48 consecutive hours
- Critical features did not work as advertised
- Compression quality was significantly degraded due to our system errors
- You were unable to log in despite multiple support attempts
Refund amount: Prorated based on downtime or unusable period
Billing Errors
- You were charged the wrong amount
- Duplicate charges occurred
- You were charged after canceling (and the cancellation was properly processed)
- Unauthorized charges (account hacking, fraud)
Refund amount: Full refund of erroneous charges
Extenuating Circumstances
- Medical emergency preventing use
- Natural disaster affecting your business
- Death of subscriber (next of kin may request refund)
- Catastrophic business failure (documented proof required)
Refund amount: Evaluated case-by-case, typically prorated

3.3 What Disqualifies You from a Refund
Refunds will not be granted if:
- You did not utilize the 14-day free trial before subscribing
- You simply changed your mind or found a cheaper alternative
- You did not use the service during the billing period
- You upgraded to a higher tier and now regret it (you can downgrade for next period)

5. Chargebacks
5.1 Our Policy on Chargebacks
Important: If you initiate a chargeback with your bank or credit card company without first contacting us, we will:
- Immediately suspend your account
- Ban your email address from future use
- Report fraudulent chargebacks to Stripe for their fraud prevention system
- Pursue legal action for unjustified chargebacks
5.2 When Chargebacks Are Appropriate
You should initiate a chargeback if:
- You do not recognize the charge (possible fraud)
- You contacted us but received no response within 10 business days
- We refused a legitimate refund request
5.3 When Chargebacks Are Inappropriate
Chargebacks are not appropriate for:
- Buyer's remorse or change of mind
- Dissatisfaction with the service (use cancellation instead)
- Forgetting you subscribed
- Not wanting to go through the cancellation process
Always contact us first: support@gravitydigitalsolutions.com. We will work with you to resolve any billing issues.
6. Subscription Downgrades
6.1 How Downgrades Work
If you want to switch to a lower-tier plan:
- Go to Settings → Subscription → Change Plan
- Select the lower tier you want
- Confirm the change
Effect:
- Change takes effect at the end of your current billing period
- No refund for the difference between plans
- You continue to enjoy current tier benefits until the period ends
Example:
You're on Professional ($149/month) with billing date on the 1st.
On November 15, you downgrade to Starter ($49/month).
November 15-30: You still have Professional tier access.
December 1: You're charged $49 and switched to Starter tier.
6.2 Upgrades
Upgrades work differently:
- Take effect immediately
- You're charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the current period
- Next billing cycle charges the full new tier price
7. Annual Subscriptions
7.1 Annual Refund Policy
Annual subscriptions ($470, $1,430, $5,750) follow the same no-refund policy but with one exception:
30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee (Annual Plans Only):
If you purchase an annual plan and are unsatisfied within the first 30 days, you may request a prorated refund for the unused months.
Example:
You purchase Professional Annual ($1,430) on November 1.
You request a refund on November 20 (19 days used).
Calculation: $1,430 ÷ 365 days = $3.92/day × 346 remaining days = $1,354.24 refund
You keep access for the 19 days you paid for.
7.2 Annual Cancellation
If you cancel an annual subscription:
- Access continues until the end of the 12-month period
- No refund for unused portion (unless within 30-day guarantee)
- You will not be charged for the next year
8. Failed Payments
8.1 Grace Period
If your payment fails (expired card, insufficient funds):
- Day 1: Email notification sent, you have 7 days to update payment
- Days 1-7: Access continues, Stripe retries payment
- Day 7: If still failed, subscription suspended, access revoked
- Day 14: Final warning email, subscription will be canceled in 7 days
- Day 21: Subscription permanently canceled, data retention policy begins
8.2 No Refund for Failed Payments
If your payment fails and your subscription is suspended, you are still obligated to pay for the period if you want to reactivate. We do not waive charges for failed payments.
